In the file viewer I have virtually rotated some files.
I now want to apply lossless rotation on these files by selecting in the main window
How can I select only these files using the filter?

There is no filter which filters for files which have (or have not) virtual transformations applied.

I'm trying to turn my virtual rotations into EXIF Orientation.
(virtual rotations don't seem to work with variables to test the orientation)
I couldn't find a way to filter for these files and I can't convert the virtual rotation into an EXIF orientation.

The general idea is to fix a wrong EXIF orientation with the EXIF Orientation command in IMatch. This means that you usually don't need virtual rotations for that purpose. Virtual rotations are only meant for images and other file formats which don't support EXIF orientation - to fix wrong orientations.
As Mario suggested - I don't use virtual rotation.
What I now use is:
Right click on selected image(s) | Rotate and Transform | Orientation (Exif)
and then select the required orientation.
The orientations are not cumulative. i.e., if you use the following command twice
Orientation (Exif) |rotate 90 degrees CW
You will not rotate image 180 degrees
If something is mixed up, what I do is select:
Orientation (Exif) | Normal (No rotation)
Then work from that point forward.

I've used the virual rotation a lot in the past (old camera with no orientation sensor).
It is so easy with the hotkeys that I thought it would be the recommended way.
However, my problem is now that I have virtually rotated so many images.
It would be great if I could either:
- filter all files with a certain virtual rotation (+90, -90, 180) - so that I could reset and EXIF rotate the whole bunch
or
- auto-convert virtual rotation to EXIF rotation (luxury)
The problem appears because the scripted check for orientation doesn't work with virual rotation.
Hmm... could you not select all the images and then use the Reset Rotate command (Alt-Num-5) to secure things back to the original EXIF rotation values?
Yes, of course, I could reset all virtual rotations.
And then go though all files and set a correct orientation :(
(that's what I'm actually doing right now - it takes days)
I just encountered the same problem of wanting to find all files I had rotated virtually (in order to rotate them for real).
Is there a way to filter out/select virtually rotated files?
Not yet.
But now.
I have added a "Show files with virtual rotations" option to the File Attributes Filter. This allows you to show only files with rotation, or without.
