Hi,
In IPTC we could find some fields, what are NOT often used and therefore a bit "lost", but nevertheless safe, because inside IPTC.
I search now some such XMP-fields, what are inside the MWG-standard, text-fields.
Why I want to know this?
Because I want add some information to a file, but these informations are not often used from me.
And it is to akward (or not necessary) to add them into the attributes or as categories or annotions or what ever.
Hence I want add these informations (as text) into the xmp-fields. These xmp-fields should be a bit "hidden", means not generally often used fields like Description, Headline and so on. But they should be of course also be "safe".
I tried to look in the MWG-definitions, but, uhhh, this is very confusing and difficult to understand (if someone knows a German site, would be welcome).
So I stumbled over a field in the Darwin Core, what is (if I am right) also inside the xmp-specificatons, this field is for example:
Event Remarks (also in the Darwin Core metadata-panel of IMatch). There I could add some text and can think, that these information will not be read by others very often or soon (like caption), but would be safe.
Do you know some other fields, what we could adapt to our needs?
Thanks in advance!
Darwin Core is a XMP extension used in certain areas of research. I would not include DarwinCore data in files unless you plan to fill all the required fields - which are many.
IPTC Core, IPTC Ext and XMP have so many metadata tags, I'm sure you can find one for your hidden use. Maybe IPTC Instructions? That's free text and can be used for everything...

Thanks, Mario, yes, instructions is a good idea, I will have a look, and I think, I will take this.
Creator::address and Creator::e-mail are two fields I have re-purposed for things like error of camera position for scanned transparency estimated from Google Earth.
