Title: Real Media Files
Post by: Darius1968 on July 22, 2014, 02:34:38 PM
By default, does IMatch index the various Real audio/video files?  If not, what would be the correct syntax to manually stipulate that IMatch ingest those files?  Thanks.

There are dozens of audio and video files. To see which file formats IMatch indexes by default, go to Edit > Preferences > File Formats. There you can also add your own formats, see the help for full details.

Which file formats do you mean?
Vendor?
Format extension(s)?
Format description?

I'm generically referring to those audio/video files that have the extension .ra, .ram, .rm, and are property of RealNetworks:

A, thought the were long dead. I now remember  the 'special quality' real player from the past.

You can add their formats as a user format easily enough. When I get more requests I may add it as a standard format. But I don't know how many users have real player media files to manage.
