Title: Map location balloons show different level of detail
Post by: clpratt on July 26, 2014, 08:51:03 PM
Can anyone please explain why I am getting different amounts of detail when I click on different file locations in the Map Panel.
I have created 3 test locations and assigned them to 3 different files. When I select the first file and click on the location marker there are 4 lines of text, the 4th line being the location name.
When I select either of the other files and display their location on the Map Panel the location marker displays only 3 lines of text, the location's name (line 4) is missing.
Hopefully I've attached 2 screen shots to show the issue.

IMatch pulls this information from the metadata contained in your files / the database. Check the Metadata Panel for these files.

Thanks Mario,
indeed the files do contain different amounts of data, but I do not know how. As far as I know I used "Apply the target marker coordinates to all selected files" in each case.
I need to experiment more to see what's happening.
I attach 3 screenshots to show the metadata differences.

Do you use reverse-geocoding to fill this data?
Different provides deliver different levels of details. Which provider do you use?
What are your geo settings in IMatch?
All this can impact if and how location data is retrieved, processed and added.
