Title: Confirmation before renaming?
Post by: Lord_Helmchen on October 04, 2014, 12:54:57 PM
Hi all,

It happened twice to me, that I accidentally renamed photos, because I clicked on my rename favorite. I found no way to request confirmation before executing.

As a workaround I tried to add "Project Code" dialogue to add appendix to file name (<Pattern>[Project Code].<ext> - usually blank) to have a chance to cancel. But unfortunately this didn't help - even if I cancel, the files will be renamed with an empty Project Code.

Any idea how to solve this?

1. Use Edit > Undo
2. If you often accidentally click on the wrong Favorite, add a new set and put all potentially harmful favorites into that set.
3. Make a set just for rename favorites.

Thanks Mario for confirmation that I've not overseen an option and the hint to use Undo. I'll monitor if I experience problems in future. Then I may come back with a feature request.
