I have a problem with versions. I have a master and a derived version. The derived is marked as "as visual". When I open the version panel I can't see the selected image in the quick view panel. Only the proxy is show, regardless which one is selected Rarely it works, but not reproducible.
I'm not sure that I understand your question.
The Quick View Panel shows the file currently selected in the File Window.
The Quick View Panel always shows the Visual Proxy if there is one.
If a Version Panel is open, it will show the original file and the versions. If you right-click the Version Panel you can control whether or not the proxy image is shown for the master. Or press <P> while the Version Panel has the focus.
That's correct. But when I have visual proxy I can't see the large master version any more in imatch. When I switch of the proxy version in the version panel, I see the master in version panel but not in quick view panel.
1. When you change relation settings, you need to refresh the relations via <F4>,<R>
2. The Quick View Panel always shows the proxy if there is one.
3. In the Version panel, you can choose whether or not to show the proxy via the context menu (right mouse button)
4. In the Viewer, you can choose whether or not to show the proxy via the context menu
I would prefer to see the master version (original) in the Quick View Panel
- when I select the master in the Version Panel and
- the proxy option is switched off
Otherwise I see two different pictures.
If you want a change in IMatch, or a new feature, please add a feature request in the Feature Request board.
Then we can see if other users are also interested in that change / new feature.
The idea behind using a visual proxy is to use it for display. You can always see the original file in the Viewer if you really need to see the original and not the proxy. Maybe using a visual proxy is not the right tool for your workflow?
