I suggest that when IMatch searches for colour space information to populate {File.MD.photools.com::IMatch\1700\iccprofilename\0} that it uses the embedded profile name {File.MD.ICC_Profile::Main\desc\ProfileDescription\0} if one exists before any other field.

I agree.
The embedded profile is for sure the important thing.
