Title: How do I remove all versioning information?
Post by: DavidOfMA on November 19, 2014, 04:55:58 AM
Due to a misunderstanding of how versioning works, I now have some files that are versions marked as originals, some that are originals marked as versions, and some marked as both. I'd like to clear out all the versioning information and start again with more precise rules. How do I get rid of the existing versioning?

EDIT: It appears that I can do this by unchecking the Versioning rules and then rebuilding relations. If that's the correct way, it seems worth leaving this post here to let others know, as it's not obvious. If it's wrong, please correct.

Thanks,
David

If you don't need the rules anymore I would just delete the 'old' rules and enter new ones.
See attached screenshot.

Unchecking the Versioning rules I'd written and rebuilding the versioning relationships did the trick. No need to delete any rules.
