Title: entire database search
Post by: felixu on November 24, 2014, 03:57:09 AM
I see how searches for text in attributes and metadata are made through filters, but only for what is in the File Window.  How can a search be made through the entire database?

If you select the @All category, then the selection will be the entire database and will be searched.

Or just click on the database node in the Media & Folders View.

Check out the help on filters to learn about the search scope and how this allows you to easily control where IMatch searches.

Quote.....just click on the database node

But don't forget to select hierarchy mode - all levels! Only this way do you get all files

Nope. Give it a try. If you select the Database node, you get all files in the database.
