Title: Updating Metadata
Post by: cthomas on December 09, 2014, 09:34:15 PM
Yesterday I was adding a description and categorizing some files and IMatch started taking longer and longer to update. And now today I have four files that have been updating for about two hours. What did I do wrong?

This log file shows a normal IMatch database start. Then IMatch sits idle for 30 minutes or so (no user action) and then you close the database.
Maybe there was a problem in the original session Your report is not clear. You say

some files and IMatch started taking longer and longer to update.

what does that mean? What do you update?

I see no file imports or write-backs in this log file so IMatch is idle....

I don't understand. I shut down IMatch last night and this morning I started IMatch up again. And the metadata was still showing it was up dataing. So what should I do?

As far as I understand you, you seeing the update icon in the file window for some files? Or the "updating" text in the Metadata Panel?
Have you tried to select the files in question and reload the metadata using <Shift>+<Ctrl>+<F5>? If a file got stuck yesterday for whatever reason, this will solve the problem.
