Title: How to remove protect shield
Post by: Aubrey on April 29, 2015, 08:23:00 PM
How does one remove the protect shield icon from a photo that has been protected using shift P
I know F9,0 makes it visible, but still the shield remains.

Thanks,
Aubrey.

F9,0 (or View > ...) shows or hides protected files. The shield is only displayed when protected files are hidden.

Just tried that and it works. Protected files (with shield) become visible in the file window when I press F9,0 (F9, release, then 0). Not F9+0 (F9 and 0 together).

OK, now I understand.
Setting F9,0 protects/un protects file.
When file is "unprotected", shift P then removes small shield on right.

Works perfectly... many thanks,
Aubrey.

Exactly.

With Shift+P (or by clicking the shield icon) you protect and un-protect files.
Protected files are only shown (without the shield) when you enable the display of protected files via the View menu or <F9>,<0>
