I think I have a problem of understanding regarding mixed selections in the categories panel. Please see attached screenshot. There's a category "Wo" which contains several subcatgories. Only a few images are assigned directly to the category "Wo" (269 of 56.373). But why do I see a checked state there instead of a grey state? Is this maybe a bug? Or is it normal behaviour?

The check is gray when not all selected files are in the category. Maybe this is the case?
The check is NOT gray, it's a full check. As you can see on the screenshot, 56.373 images are selected. So I expect a grey state for the category "Wo", because it contains only 269 direct assignments.
A category always (virtually) contains all files contained in their child categories.
The only exception is when you explicitly configure a category to return only the direct assigned images (which is not possible for data-driven or formula based categories).

yes, I know! But that's not an answer to my question or my problem ;) I'm talking about the categories panel, not the view. Please take a look at the screenshot again. The full check of the category "Wo" is NOT ok, it has to be a gray check. Thousands of images are selected, but only hundreds contain the category "Wo". So the check has to be gray in the categories panel. Or am I really wrong??? But then I don't understand it. In my opinion it HAS to be grey...
