Title: display images, number warning
Post by: imfan on August 31, 2015, 09:45:45 AM
Hello,

I sometimes select more images than I wanted to (I often open them in IrfanView). All the selected images will then be opened.
Could you add a "window warning" e.g. "Do I want to display more than 10 pictures?"  Or "Do you really want to display ### images?"
I think this was ones implemented  in the older versions.

Thanks!

You can always see the number of selected files in the File Window Caption bar.
If you have this problem, maybe just make a habit of quickly looking there before opening files in another application.

Q: Why do you use IrfanView when you could equally well use the IMatch Viewer, or the Quick Preview Panel, or the Slide Show?

Thanks for the hint with the "File Window Caption bar".

Well, I am, still struggeling with the "Viewer" and the "Quick Preview Panel", so many setups, so many short cuts, uff!
So it will probably take a while, until I can remove IrfanView from my comp.

Tip:

Open the Quick Start Guide PDF from the Help menu in IMatch.
Print out the handy keyboard cheat sheets. These list the most frequently used commands and the corresponding keyboard shortcuts.
Until you have remembered the keyboard shortcuts of the Viewer, use the right-click menu. It lists all commands and their shortcuts as well.
