Post by: whitefern on March 04, 2016, 10:48:07 PM
Does anyone know if there is a way to do this - without having to be too techie?

Metadata contained in your files will be automatically picked up by IMatch when you index your files.
I'm not sure anymore, but I think you need to configure ACDSee to store metadata in your files, otherwise it keeps them inside it's proprietary database.

If you add some of the files you managed in ACDSee to IMatch, switch the Metadata Panel in IMatch into Browser mode. This shows you all metadata IMatch / ExifTool could find in your files. Do you see metadata? Anything missing?

What other data do you want to import into IMatch?

Sorry for the lateness - got sidetracked.
Thanks Mario. I do embed metadata to the ACDSee files in its database and it creates a sidecar or something when it can't embed the metadata. Yes, good idea to try a few to see how it goes. Thanks again.
