Title: ECP open and still work in file viewer
Post by: Aubrey on August 12, 2016, 11:10:54 AM
Is it possible to have the ECP open and still access different images in the file window? This would be useful, particularly when geotagging.

Currently when ECP is open the file window is locked. If a different selection is required then ECP must be closed and reopened.

It would also be good if after making a change in ECP that one could "click" on the global symbol of an image to check that the location is correct. i.e. access the file window.

The latter request makes the checking of geo location when time offsets are applied more easy.

Aubrey.

The ExifTool Command Processor is a dialog box and blocks the user interface. When it closes, IMatch has to perform certain operations on the files modified by it to ensure metadata consistency. It retrieves the selected files from the current scope only when the dialog opens. Changing all that will require a lot of work, there are many problem cases. Won't do.

You can always run ExifTool from the command line, even multiple instances of it.
