Title: Save the Category Builder
Post by: MyMatch on September 20, 2016, 08:44:43 PM
I created some long selection in the Category Builder.

After restarting IMatch, eveything was lost :-O
I can´t even remember how i did it last time.

Is there already some way to save such selections?

Otherwise, would´nt it be great to be able to save them?
;-)

The Category @Builder is not stored. It is an easy tool to quickly combine multiple categories, even with very complex rules. Basically a visual tool to create category formulas on-the-fly.

If you want to keep the temporary results of the @Builder: The formula is displayed in the lower section of the @Builder panel. From there you can copy it easy into any category to save it.

I find that I do not need to use the category builder. I can do my selection using the filter panel.
And I can save a complex filter easily. You may want to look into this and try it.

(There are many ways in Imatch do do things!!!!!)

The Category  @Builder generates category formulas. There is of course some overlap with using a filter based on categories. But category formulas allow you to build complex expressions involving categories, folders, collections etc.
