It would be extremely helpful to have key shortcuts »hot keys« for more functions (For example for changing layouts).
What is the problem to offer shortcuts for all functions?

File window? Metadata Panel? Print Template Layouts?
There is not really a problem, although IMatch already uses double-press keyboard shortcuts to copy.
But changing a file window layout or Metadata Panel layout is usually not something you do very often and thus demands no separate shortcut.
Besides, implementing a mechanism which associates File Window or Metadata Panel layouts with a keyboard shortcut and the corresponding user interface enhancements would require quite a bit of work.
