Not sure if I miss something, but I could not find anything in the release notes or the forum.
Is there a way to load a custom metadata panel layout created in Imatch 5.8 to Imatch 2017? When I try to load a layout I get error code 10201.
Thanks,
Heiner
This is usually automatic. IMatch 2017 copies your settings database and thus all workspaces and layouts.
10201 means "database error" which is usually not a good sign. Physical database damage is often the cause for this.
I would need the IMatch log file to tell you more.
Attached is the log file and one of the of the files with the extension IMMDL I try to import.
I ran the database diagnostic and compact and optimize with no error on my main database and a small test database. As the same error happens with a brand new database I hope there is no damage to my database.
The layouts I tried to import were not part of my main database when I converted to Imatch 2017. So I thought I either have a corrupt layout or they did not transfer. I then created the small test database with Imatch 5.8 and imported the layout, no problem with the older version. I was hoping the custom panels show up after converting the new database to 2017, but they don't. The layout files were copied to the C:\ProgramData\photools.com\imatch6\Presets folder.
It's not a big problem as I can recreate the custom layouts, it just baffled me that it did not work.
Thanks,
Heiner
Interesting.
I could import it immediately in my development version.
So I installed a fresh 2017.6.10 version in a VM and it fails to import the layout (file read error).
I have no clue at this point, sorry.
Probably something I have already fixed for the next release.
Thanks,
I wait for the next release.

I just checked. The 2017.7.2 can import your layout without problems. I plan to release it soon.
Just to confirm, works here with the new release too.
Thanks,
Heiner
Excellent. Thanks for the feedback.
