I just had a new motherboard fitted and now iMatch says the database is locked. After a search for this problem I have checked that Web Services is not enabled and all permissions are available. There is nothing else running that uses the db. I rebooted to check this. I attach the log file. What else should I be looking at?
Maybe the DB is read-only?
No, it's not. But thanks.
The database system reports:
For ...Brian\Documents\
Database file read-only/on read-only media.
Database is on a read-only media or the current user has no write privileges to the folder containing the database file.
Please check the file system permissions for your user account for the folder (!) containing the database and all files within.
They may be wrong after replacing the motherboard and probably re-installing Windows.
I recommend that you create a dedicated folder for the IMatch database, because mixing IMatch databases and temporary files with all your other documents is not a good idea. See also the tips & recommendations for databases in the IMatch help.
Done and fixed. Thanks for your assistance.
