Title: Sequence of colours for colour coded categories.
Post by: BenAW on August 29, 2013, 05:00:37 PM
I colour coded 4 categories under Geotagged/Latitude and Longitude.

North = darkred, South = lightred, East = darkblue and West = lightblue.

The four shown images show all 4 possible combinations. For some reason the East colour (darkblue) has prevalence over the South one, although the Latitude category comes first in the tree.
What is the logic in the sequence in which the colours  are shown? Appearently the tree sequence isn't followed.

This was a glitch.
After determining the color-giving categories, IMatch sorts them by name to ensure a stable order. The sort only used the category name, not the entire path. I have fixed than for build 112.

Please note that the order in which categories are shown in the Category View and Group panel can be freely configured. This must not match the order in which the color-coded categories are returned. IMatch always sorts them alphabetically. This has performance reasons.

Great, I was just wondering whether I could influence the order somehow.

Works fine in 112. Looks a lot better for the geotagged categories (more logical)
