I keep my raws and the developed images in different folders.
How can I have the master (=raw) and the developed image(s) in a side by side view in the viewer?

Select one or more Masters, right click and select Versions > Show All Versions ( F4,S)
In the Result window select all images you need and send them to the viewer.
I believe there is an open feature request to have an option to send a Master plus its Versions directly to the Viewer.
Depending on your folder structur and your workflow you can also ...
Use 'Show All levels' and 'Don't group by folders' to see them next each other in the file window
(e.g. if the master is in the parent folder and the versions are in subfolders).
Then select and send them to the viewer.

Yes, that works for the versions, but not for the master itself.
I will check the feature requests for this.

Hierarchy button, select "Include Originals in Results"
QuoteHierarchy button, select "Include Originals in Results"
Thanks, that was the missing link.

Also, this script (https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=519.0) produces a "normal" results window with the master and all versions for the selected images, i.e. without the hierarchy. It's not much of an advance on the built-in version results window, but some people may prefer it as being easier to work with.
