Category display:
If one selects Hide empty Categories (in Category Filters) then one can not
add a new category because the New Category which is initially created will not be shown.
It is easy to work around but if one is not aware of this it causes confusion.
And along the same line: Hide empty Categories is reset if one does some filtering.
What you are saying is that IMatch should disable this option when the user creates a new category.
I just needs to disable this until the new category has been created.
Of course it won't show then in the category panel but it can be used in the
category assignment panel.
Maybe it would make more sense to just give a warning message that the creation of new categories not possible because....
...and that categories can be created in the category assignment panel.
Users don't read warnings, disable them or are afraid of them.
Better ti just "un-filter" when the user creates a new category which would otherwise be hidden.
Not that this apparently affects many users. I don't recall a similar bug / FR.
It was way to complicated to deactivate the filter. I've just added a message box to tell the user. IMatch 2018.
