I have Computer 2 with WIN7 with Database2 with IM2017 running without problems. Installation IM2018 failed: "the cabinetfile 'media1.cab' is corrupt an cannot be needed..." . What can I do?
This message comes from Windows Installer. The installer file is incomplete or damaged.
You can check if the digital signature is shown as valid (Right-click on the file in Windows Explorer, Properties > Digital Certificate). If this is the case, the installer becomes broken during installation which would indicate a virus checker issue or similar.
Maybe just download the installer again.
New Download of the Installer - Problem solved - everything is fine.
