Title: Layout keyboard entry and search bar activation
Post by: stephock on July 17, 2019, 02:17:05 PM
I've just begun to use the keyboard shortcut for layout selection (CTRL+L, nbr) and I've noticed that after the layout changes, the search bar becomes active, so that I need to click outside it in order to continue with my keyboard entries. For instance, if I use layout 1, but need to have a quick look at layout 2, the ideal would be to enter CTRL+L,2, check the information displayed, and type CTL+L,1 to return to the original display. But I can't do this, as anything from the keyboard populates the search bar.

Is there any way to change this behaviour? Or is it intentional?

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean.
Layout selection for which feature in IMatch? You're doing keyword entries where?

Sorry I was unclear.

I'm in the main File Window, and I want to change the thumbnail display from layout 1 to layout 2, etc, using the keyboard entry CTRL+L,nbr...

Ah, I see.

The search bar automatically gets the default. This is how the UI toolkit behaves.
Just press ESC to set the focus back to the File Window.

So simple. Thanks, Mario...
