Title: Disabling a file format that is not needed
Post by: dnharv on July 29, 2019, 09:44:35 PM
In the preferences area for file formats is one for Video/Audio File Formats (MCI (multimedia)).
Is there a way of disabling just the .wma files and other audio files in this section as i do not wish to index all my audio files which are in the same subfolder as my videos.

No.

IMatch is designed to manage all files in the folders you add to your DAM database.
Skipping files (and thus actively hiding them from IMatch) should be done rarely, and only under very specific conditions.

Hiding files affects many important IMatch features, from file management to versions and buddy files.

I always recommend to keep the files you don't want to manage in your DAM in separate folders, out side the folder hierarchy managed in IMatch.
