Title: Hyperlink Attribute Referencing Other Files
Post by: Darius1968 on October 11, 2019, 12:39:19 PM
If I were to set up a Hyperlink Attribute, and utilize a Special Hyperlink, with "imfile" syntax, for the purpose of referencing some other file on my local file system, which is also in my IMatch database, what happens if per chance, the folder assignment for the file changes?  Does this mean the hyperlink is obsolete until I update it, or is there some mechanism that makes the proper assignment automatic?

Correct.

The special syntax to link to a file, folder or category uses a textual link to that object.
If you rename, delete or move the target of the link, the link breaks.
