Quotenail, but those two don't.That means that the file has face annotations and GPS coordinates. Active icons are less translucent than inactive icons, so you know which collections or other attributes are active/enabled and which are not. For example, bookmark a file and see how the bookmark icon behaves.
Quote from: sybersitizen on March 31, 2025, 10:37:00 PMI have DxO PhotoLab. There's no indication that it can understand or make use of face regions in metadata. It can find faces in an image on its own, but that's only so it can use the pixel data in the face areas as a reference for adjustments.Supporting the proper XMP tags (Regions and PersonInImage) is optional, like all XMP.

There is maybe another step to take ? for example, my photolab software does not see that type of data but only the keywords...
Quote from: jch2103 on March 30, 2025, 06:43:58 PMThanks. Gemini 3 should be interesting. I also saw this yesterday: https://arstechnica.com/ai/2025/03/google-says-the-new-gemini-2-5-pro-model-is-its-smartest-ai-yet/
Interesting times.
QuoteIs it reliable?Sure.
Quotei mean will these data remain if the database crashesYes, unless something catastrophic happens.
Quoteor if i quit imatch for another software ?
QuoteAfter starting with the D70 (2004) all jpeg files have an xmp file with them in my folders. I think I was already using iMatch at that time. I assume that those xmp files were created by iMatch. (??)IMatch does never create XMP files for JPG files.
QuoteThe folder is listed as created sept 18, 2022 and last modified on 11/27/2024.Hm. IMatch has the folder as last modified on "3/14/2025 8:21:27 PM", and the file at the 2009 date. So it should not consider the file newer than the folder. IMatch simple gets the timestamps from Windows, then uses the Windows function CompareFileDateTime(folder, file) to check whether folder is older, and if so, schedules the folder.
The file you listed was last modified Nov 23, 2009 (which makes sense based on how old these files are).
Quotebut now I have something like 100,000 unassigned files after my drive updates and moving to 2025.Did you check that you have not added the same folders multiple times (from the old drive and the new drive).
