As an experiment, I have produced machine translations for IMatch into the French and Spanish language.
Unfortunately, I don't speak either of these languages, so I cannot tell if the result is nonsense or usable... ::)

As you might know, I provide the English "main" version and the German translation.
Mees provides the Dutch and José provides the Portuguese translation for IMatch. Thanks, guys!

Machine translation has become better over time and it should be "good enough" for many purposes. Many apps in the Apple and Google apps stores use machine-translated resources to save cost.
But then, most apps are not nearly as big and complex as IMatch  ;)

If you feel adventurous and you speak French and/or Spanish, maybe try out the next IMatch release in another language.
You can change the language setting for IMatch via the Edit menu > Set Language:

Alternatively (recommended) you can create a new desktop shortcut for IMatch and use the Command Line Argument /lang to specify the language to use (supported are en, de, nl, pt, es and fr):

"C:\Program Files\photools.com\imatch6\IMatch2023x64.exe" /lang=es

This way you can easily switch between your usual language and another language just by using the corresponding desktop shortcut.

If IMatch 2023.4.2 is out (this is the next release), give it a try and let me know below if machine translation is something that could help IMatch users who don't speak English to get an easier access to the IMatch feature set.

Did you know that all IMatch resources (menus names, dialog contents, texts displayed etc.) are loaded from a JSON resource file in the C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch6\resources folder?
For example, the default resources for IMatch are loaded from the "C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch6\resources\imatchres-en.json" file.

I'm Spanish, I'll try it when you release the new version. Although I prefer to use the software in English, the documentation is in English and if you need help it is more complicated.

Thanks all the same.

Very good, thank you.
Your browser can translate all help pages into Spanish and if you use Bing, it will probably use the same words (I've used Microsoft Azure Machine Translation for my test). If you use Chrome or Firefox, results may vary.
I've found that the automatic translation, especially in Google Chrome, are quite good these days (from my experience of translating English web sites to German for fun. Here is what Chrome makes of the IMatch Welcome page when translating it to Spanish:

I use Edge, I will try to use it for a while in Spanish, including the documentation to see if it is understood correctly.

I've tried to translate the web site using Edge first, but it told me "Failed to translate page" for some reason...
Firefox translated it, too. With some different wording as far as I can tell.

Hello Mario, I'm french, so I installed french language on Imatch. I see it's automatic translation, some words are not translated and not anything is perfect, but I must say its enough to understand everything and far better that what I thought. I think I shall keep french language and try more. Thanks for your work

The path is not correct. It should be this one:
"C:\Program Files\photools.com\imatch6\IMatch2023x64.exe" /lang=es

As Javi, I'm Spanish feeling more comfortable with the English interface but I can assure you many potential Spanish speaking users we'll be trying if they see the possibility of using it in our mother language.

Anyway, I've been checking and translation is mostly understandable.

My question is, if we find some bug, can you correct it or as being an automate translation we're committed to what the system brings us?

In the first case we could report you what doesn't sound or read well...

This can all be modified. You can even modify it yourself using the IMatch Translator included in IMatch (App Manager Panel) or by opening the resource file for the Spanish translation
"C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch6\resources\imatchres-es.json" in your text editor and changing what you thin needs changing.

Send the file to support email address (zipped, please) and I can "merge" your changes into the file distributed with IMatch. This works well unless there are multiple translators translating the same line, differently. Then we'll have to decide.

If you want to use a text editor, I recommend the free Microsoft Visual Studio Code. It offers tools for working with JSON files, including syntax checks.
