Since using IMatch, the tiles in the Favorite Panel are very narrow, looking like this (XnView was added via "New External Tool):
2023-12-17 17.55.53 000.png

Today I added XnView via Drag&Drop and the size of the tiles suddenly changed, but only for the current favorite set:

For the other, default favorite sets the tile size was still the same. Only after setting it to "Big Tiles = Yes" it changed.

Any explanation for this behaviour?

Which icon sizes have you configured for IMatch (E > P > Application)?
This looks like you are using stock icons for the other favorites, and these are either 16px or 32px.
Application icons are usually 32 px.

User Interface/Icon size is set to large. When I added XnView via "New External Tool" I had to add an external icon file (256x256) which shows still very small and is only visible when I hoover of the tile.

The ratio between the font size and the icon size looks strange in these screen shots.
The standard icons for Favorites in IMatch are 32x32, displayed at 75%. I don't remember anymore why. It should be 100% (32px) when the Big Tiles option is enabled for favorites. I shall look into that.
Application icons and external icons specified by the user are limited to the system icon size IMatch determines at runtime.

I did tests with the Favorites Panel between 1920 and 3840 pixel resolution ans various DPI settings. It looks OK here.

Which screen resolution and DPI settings do you use?
Do you use a Windows text scaling > 100%

3840x2160, HighDPI, Scaling 250% (default recommended), text scaling 100%

Strange. A normal 4K monitor setup. I use the same setup myself. What do you mean by HighDPI?
This is how favs look on my monitor:

3840x2160 on a 15" monitor.
But I think I can live with the current situation. The icons for the external tools are displayed correct and the tile size is also OK.

Mario

I've tried 250% scaling on a 4K screen. Same result.
You have "Big Tiles" enabled for Favorites?

Coming back to this.

I added 3 ext.programs via drag&drop and all looked fine:
2023-12-20 11.35.24 000.png

After closing IM and restarting it, it looked like this:
2023-12-20 11.36.19 000.png

When I right clock on any tile, choose pro "Properties" and click "OK" without changing any value, everything looks again like in screenshot #1. Clicking on "Cancel" in the properties dialog does not work.

Restarting IM and the game starts again.

While testing today, I've finally managed to produce the "crushed" look in a Favorite Panel running in a VM.
It was caused by the Favorite Panel being notified about an icon having been loaded in the background. The Panel loaded the icon and redraw, but did not update the tile height to match the icon height. This caused the crushed look when there were no other tiles with icons already loaded. I have fixed this for the next release as well.
