Sorry about this post, for the thousandth time I searched the whole DB instead of just the window file and now I have to wait. (in my case for a long time), but it also happens the other way round, but then it's not so bad.

I'll probably never learn this again. I have already devised x methods for my head to avoid this ... I always outsmart myself.

Have you tried clicking the red X next to the search box (show up while a search is running)?
This will cancel the search as soon as the database system allows. Works here just fine.
