Hi,

I successfully set up versioning and buddy file rules for my RAW files using following thread:

In my photo collection I have also files from my age before RAW files, where my original files are JPG (older digital cameras and newer smart phone photos).
I sometimes develop these too with DxO Photolab or other non-destructive editors.

Is there a way to set up alternative versioning rules for JPG derivatives, that do not collide with the RAW files (actually RAW+JPG pairs)?

Here are some example file names.

RAW+JPG pairs:
2020_04_21_IMG1234.CR3
2020_04_21_IMG1234.JPG
2020_04_21_IMG1234.CR3.dop
2020_04_21_IMG1234_DxO.jpg

Older JPG photos:

IMG_4567.JPG.dop
IMG_4567_DxO.JPG

Best regards,
Zoltán

Keep them in separate folders and create a version rule for both types of masters.
Make sure your naming convention is strict to avoid potential circular references where a master can become its own version.
Use the Version panel to check the results.
Test throughout.
