On this page https://www.photools.com/imatch/api-keys-explained/, it says: 'IMatch and IMatch Anywhere WebViewer uses this map by default.' How do I select that as a default service? In the Preferences ->Geo & Maps panel, I only have 3 options; GeoNames.org, Google and HERE.

Just open the Map Panel. OSM is set as the default.
OSM does not require user name or password, hence there are no options for this map type.

I see that. However, when I try to search for locations, it says that 'search provider is not configured'. Does that mean that OpenStreetMaps doesn't have a search function?

OpenStreetMap is just a map. It does not do searches.
To search locations, you must configure either GeoNames.org, Google or HERE.

OK, thanks; that explains what I see.

GeoNames.org is free and pretty good.
You just need to create an account and activate it. Follow the instructions on the GeoNames.org page.

I continue to use and push along HERE as a map and reverse GEO provider.  I am getting some fantastic results from my MAP modified app that searches directly the Discover API for places.  Though Google seems to provide this data - I just cannot get it to work properly.
