Would it be possible to add a copy of an applications .ico file to the external applications icon choices under 'edit' in the context menu?

JohnZeman

As long as the properties for the Windows shortcut I use to create the IMatch favorite has the icon I want, then that same icon should show in the favorites panel.

Screenshot attached of part of my favorites panel where you can see the send to Affinity Photo and send to PhotoLab favorites have their programs icons.

I need to use a the 'external application' feature for the RawTherapee program to run properly which has pre-defined choices for the icon.

JohnZeman

I rarely use it but I also have Raw Therapee set as a send to IMatch favorite.
Attached is a screenshot of my favorites panel where I have send selected images to Raw Therapee.
As you can see my IMatch favorite for Raw Therapee uses the Raw Therapee icon.
It all goes back to the icon you have configured for your Windows shortcut to Raw Therapee.

John,
Is AutoStack in your icons for the normal IMatch AutoStacking?
If so, how did you create such a favourite?
Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)

The RT application icon does not open properly in IMatch unless I use the -R %1 argument. Not using the argument allows the RT console to open which is not what I want. The fix is to use the 'external application' function in IMatch.

If there is a way to use those arguments with the RT shortcut, then please let me know. Otherwise, I hope that there is a direct answer to my original question.

Mario

IMatch does not support custom icons for this type of Favorite.
Unless you need many of these, choosing a color and a speaking name for the shortcut should do, I believe. Usually you trigger it by a keyword shortcut anyway?

Have you tried to create a normal shortcut and add the required command line parameters there?
%1 can only work in a batch file I guess, because it refers to a parameter provided on the command line...

Have you talked to the RT developers and asked them to support the standard Windows drag & drop protocols? Then no special work-arounds would be needed and everything would work as it should. In IMatch an all other applications implementing the standard Windows drag & drop protocols.

Stuntflyer

I see. . I will ask the devs at RT if they would support Windows drag & drop protocols.

Marcus my autostack favorite runs a very simple user app (attached) in a modal window to perform normal IMatch autostacking.

Hey John,
Cool, very nice, thanks a lot!  :D
Your app works perfectly!

For me, this is a long-desired simplification. Sure, it doesn't matter much, but if you do it over and over again, it's just very pleasant.
THANK YOU!

Best wishes

Tip: <Alt>+<C>, <L>, <A> to quickly access auto-stacking via keyboard.
