Hello,

I have a question regarding the Time Wiz App with the mode "Create Time Sequence".
The description tells me, that the "first date" is taken from the "sample file". Which file of my selection is this?

Btw: The "Create Time Sequence" mode is missing in the helpfile.

Thanks

The selected files are processed in the same sequence as they appear in the File Window. The processing starts with the first selected file, which is considered the sample file.
This is the file you see in the TimeWiz (thumbnail). This is also the file from which the sample data displayed in the TimeWiz is pulled.
I have enhanced the help topic.

Ok thanks. Now, i know how it works.

QuoteThe processing starts with the first selected file, which is considered the sample file.
Would it make sense for other users as well, if this was changed to "sample file = highlighted file?

I think the main purpose of this mode (i think that's how it was requested as a feature by a user)  is to align files without/wrong date information into the right time slot. I am using it for the same purpose.
Now, if some of the "wrong" files are dated before and some after the sample file, then we could "highlight" the right file as sample file and all files would be aligned behind it.

Argh, sorry. I always forget about these links. I'll try to remember the next time.

The purpose of this feature is to fixate the order of the selected files by adding a certain time offset to the time of the first file, for each selected file.
This is why the first selected file is the anchor / sample and all selected files are processed in the sequence in which they appear in the File Window. The user can first create the sequence he likes to freeze by sorting the File Window accordingly and then time-stamp the files in the TimeWiz.

IMatch does not use the term highlighted. Most commands work on the currently selected files in the File Window, optionally treating the focused file in a special way.
