Thinking about "iMatch Anywhere"?

Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out if I need iMatch or the 'anywhere' version.
I have a desktop PC I usually post-process photos on. Nightly, a mirror of my photo directories is swept up from that PC to my NAS (a Synology Diskstation).
I also have a laptop on which I keep my most recent few months of photos.
I have a firewall (pfSense) that supports OpenVPN. When I'm away from home, I connect the laptop via OpenVPN - and can access (read/write/delete) the photo archive folders on my NAS via SMB (windows 'net use). I often use the laptop to cull (raw-only shooter so FastRawViewer).
I've been using hierarchical folders to manage my photos. I can usually find something that way, but I'm starting tho think I'd be happier with a DAM. I use DxO Photolap and Photoshop CS6 on both desktop and laptop.
So, I have copies of the same photo archive in a couple of places, and need to find things using two different machines. I'd like to also be able to tag photos via both machines.
Any thoughts on which version I might need?
Any help? Thanks!

Mario

I allow the licensed user to install and use IMatch on multiple computers (if she/he is the only user!).
IMatch comes with Pack & Go, which makes it easy to copy your database and settings between multiple computers.

It is not clear if you maintain different collections on your multiple computers or the same image collection (basically, what's on your NAS box).
If you manage the same files on your computers, one IMatch database will be fine.

IMatch Anywhere will not help you much, unless you want to maintain only one database on on central PC and then access it from your web browser from your local network or remotely via your VPN.

If you have not used IMatch before (or any other capable DAM) I recommend that you install the free 30-day trial version IMatch and use it for a couple of weeks.
This will explain a lot and you can also try it out on multiple computers to see how it fits into your workflow.

QuoteHi guys, I'm trying to figure out if I need iMatch or the 'anywhere' version.
Just to make it clear: IMatch Anywhere is an Add-On to IMatch, as mentioned at the IMatch Anywhere Editions page. So the question is if IMatch itself will already fulfil your requirements or if you need additionally a IMatch Anywhere license, right?
