Windows 7 vs 10
On the accursed Windows 10 Machine my latest IMatch version shows as 14.2.
I have also updated IMatch on the laptop (win 7, both 64bit), to the latest, and he version shows 12.6.
Doing a check for updates on the 12. on laptop does not do anything - no message window. I seem to remember vaguely that some of the features will no longer be supported on Win7 - is portal smart enough to send me the last version that still works on Win7 ? If so, thank you!
However, then I did the Pack&go on my main machine, copied to the .impag file to the laptop, and when I ask for Pack&go, Windows tells me that Pack & go stopped working, showing the usual choices to check online or close the program, with the problem signature shown below. If I just close that message window, IMatch keeps working! So after a while I try closing the database, hoping against hope that pack&go may show up, but no such luck. Is there a fix, or if no, will the six steps listed in Help under Traveling with IMatch save my bacon in future? Files themselves are ok and most of the assignments, but some of the layouts and preferences apparently did not make it across.
Regards Emil

I don't support or test IMatch on Windows 7 anymore. Windows 7 should no longer be used for security purposes.
IMatch should run (it did, when I last tested it on Windows 7 a year ago or so).

Make sure you have installed the same versions of IMatch on both computers.
You can copy over your database manually, you don't need Pack & Go.

Oh , it runs ok, which is great. As long as I move the other stuff manually I'll be fine.
I only need W7 for some older software and thus am glad I kept it on laptop until I get W10 settled properly.

Well yes, i downloaded the latest, but how come I got 12.6 when I downloaded and installed two days ago, while the other computer has 14.2, yet it was installed probably a month or more ago?
Can I hope that only the main version number will matter, i.e. 2020 (soon to be 2021 ? :))
Regards, Emil
