The new version introduces a new and powerful favorite type: Automation Favorites

Automation Favorites enable you to create more complex favorites which play keyboard shortcuts, run other favorites, switch workspaces, open and close panels, select files and more.

This feature is currently a work in progress and I welcome ideas and suggestions for additional actions for this new favorite type.
Read the help section, mind the warnings, play with it for a few days and if you want to see some more functionality you think would be helpful for other users as well, let me know below.

Not everything is possible do do in Automation Favorites for technical reasons, but I'll be happy to look into enhancements for this for the upcoming IMatch releases.

Thx so much for this new feature Mario... I believe this will be a game changer for automation.  I'll need to play around with the feature when I have some time... one enhancement I can think of immediately is an import/export for the ability to share the automation favorites between users like we can with file window profiles.  Not sure how easy that would be since they may be stored directly in the DB like other favorites rather than using external files but just thought I throw it out there!

Thx again... another great enhancement!!

Favorites are stored in the database, and many favorites link directly to database objects (folder favs, category favs, template favs, event and people favs, ...). Exporting these would be impossible.
Links to external applications via Windows shortcuts are computer-specific (Windows uses different ids for application shortcuts on different computers).

But creating an automation favorite is fairly quick and easy. And I assume that most automation favorites will be rather 'personal', customized for a specific user's database and workflow.

I am a heavy user of filter presets. I would find turning off filtering and turning on a certain filter preset
very useful.

Add a feature request in the feature request board. This thread is already kinda busy and a separate FR keeps things tidy and visible.

I suppose you are probably right.. we don't really have folks sharing Metadata Presets and Favorites already... guess sharing can be easily done via screenshots of the steps like you've shown before.  :-)
