Face annotations and versions

I am still puzzling out the right way of adding face annotations to different versions of an image. I usually have a raw and tiff version of an image. I have started adding the face annotations only to the tiff version, because it is less work, and use only the tiffs for filtering out images. However, I might also make a cropped version of the image, which means adding in the face annotations again - I have learned that you can copy and paste face annotations, but then there is the readjusting of them afterwards. All of this adds more work. I am interested to know how others deal with face annotations and versions. Also, if you are filtering images and only one version of an image contains the necessary metadata, can you get Imatch to display the other versions as well?
