Why doesn't IMatch 2023 write any XMP-sidecar files to Samsung RAW (.srw) files?

In a folder with images that I took last Sunday with my beloved Samsung NX500 & 1:2.0, 30mm lens the XMP sidecar files are missing, although I tagged all images with keywords, persons, headlines etc. using IMatch 2023. I did not forget to write back all metadata...

Using IMatch 2021, all metadata for my .srw files were written in XMP-sidecar files. Is this change intentional?

There is no change in how IMatch writes XMP sidecar files for RAW files.
1. View menu > Panels > Output Panel
2. Change the rating of a sample SRW
3. Write back

The output panel will show what IMatch is writing, if there are any problem etc.
Copy the text and attach.

Hi Mario, I followed your instructions and changed the rating of an SRW sample file. That SRW file was first tagged in January 2023 using IMatch 2021 and already has an XMP sidecar file. The metadata was not written back in the existing XMP sidecar file! Attached you find the Output protocol from ExifTool. No error message, no XMP-file updated...

.SRW is a file format extension used by Samsung cameras.
The standard configuration for .SRW files tells me that this file format supports embedded XMP metadata.
Hence IMatch/ExifTool embed XMP data directly into the .SRW file.
.SRW also supports native EXIF and GPS data, plus proprietary Samsung maker notes.
