Comparing metadata of duplicates

For me, when there are duplicates, it's most important for me to compare the metadata to ensure I'm taking the photo that has the most correct metadata so as to not lose anything. In the results window, I can only click on the duplicate to see its metadata but can't click on the "top/original" image. Is there a configuration to change that so I can compare metadata easily? Thank you.

I know I can go back to the original picture and flip back and forth through tabs to compare, but that's rather clunky when I have a 100 sets of duplicates to clean up.

Yes. See Including the Original with the Matches right at the top of the Result Window help topic.
If you are new to IMatch, using the IMatch help system efficiently will be very helpful. For example, if you press <F1> while a Result Window is open, IMatch opens the Result Window help topic, which should answer all your questions.
