Hello.

The problem has occured this morning when i made a rescan command of my new pictures.
All the jpg file have the usual thumbnail but not the .arw ones...
Although these files are marked checked and i can see the pictures in the quick viewer or the new zoom viewer.
Very strange and a bit annoying.
Can you help me to solve it?

Thank you.

PS: the "old" arw files have their thumbnails and i did many times the write back command .

Did you keep the log file from this session (see log file).
Do you use WIC codecs or LibRaw? Select one of the files and run a WIC Diagnosis via Help menu > Support > WIC Diagnosis.

I'm not sure if there are only no thumbnails or if you also cannot see the images in the Viewer / QuickView Panel?

If it does not work anywhere, chances are that the ARW variant you use is new and not supported by Windows WIC and/or LibRaw yet.

More info needed.

hello.
Here is a snap of my screen where you can see Jpg and arw files in my last folder.
There are thumbnail for jpg but i can see the arw file in the viewer.
I do not know about WIC but i know that my camera is still the same and that arw pictures were ok with Imatch until today.
I will try to send a log file ..

Hello here is the result of the WIC diagnoses runned on the arw file then on the jpg file (that is a crop of the same picture) .
No problem is described for the arw file but errors are shown with the jpg one (!!!) .
Difficult to understand.
The thumbnail for arw is estimated at 1024x684 pixel in 16 ms. Is'n it big for a thumbnail?

Looks ok to me, both WIC and LibRaw handle the file.

Can you see it in the Viewer and QuickView panel?
Select the file, press Shift+Ctrl+F5 > Force Update to rescan it.

Hello.

It's ok the forced rescan works .
I still wonder why the first scan did not the job .
A bit strange.
Thank you.

I've noticed the same problem just recently. ARW files don't show a thumbnail when first scanned in. Doing a forced up date fixes it.

If you can reproduce this, switch IMatch to debug logging via Help > Support, reproduce the problem, then copy the log file via Help > Support, ZIP it and attach it.

My guess would be that the WIC codec (if you use them) or LibRaw (if you use this, I don't know yet) had a problem with too many files being processed at the same time? Or maybe your PC was overloaded?

What kind of PC are you using? Which performance settings for IMatch are you using? How many files did you process at the time? Did you check the log file for warning messages? We need more detailed info to even being digging into this. So many potential reasons for this behavior.
