Dear all

I just noticed that the colours of the thumbnail are not the same ones as I have on my original image. All thumbnails appear to have a yellowish cast. Does someone know how this can be changed?

Does Imatch5 also loads much slower than Imatch3? In my case it take approximatly 3 times as long as for Imatch3 - 33sec for Imatch3 and 1m35sec for Imatch5.

Thanks vor all help
Christoph

1. Not that I know. IMatch by default does not use color management for thumbnails (you can enable that under Edit > Preferences > Application). But IMatch 3 does neither.

2. How many files has your database? 10,000 or 100,000?
Did you run an optimize on your database recently?

Hello Mario

1. I enclose a screenshot that I just took

2. The database has roughly 101'000 images - almost all are Nikon .NEF files.

Christoph

Run an optimize to get better load speeds.

Your screen shot shows a resized thumbnail and a resized cache file in the Quick View panel. Hard to judge.
Both images have been resized and manipulated twice before you took the screen shot:

1. Creating the thumbnail at the size you have set for the database (300 pixel, usually)
2. Loading the 300 pixel thumbnail and resize it to the size you use in the file window.
3. Applying display sharpen as configured.

For the Quick Preview Panel, the same operations are performed:

1. The cache image is created from the original image at some point in time
2. The cache image is loaded and resized to fit into the Quick Preview Panel.
3. The sharpen/color management options are applied.

All these operations, in conjunction with the original image, may introduce slight color derivations, noise etc.

Check your thumbnail display settings under Edit > Preferences > Application: Display. Maybe dial down thumbnail sharpen and Vibrancy.
