Stack counter

I can't believe this hasn't been asked before, or isn't in the great help system, it must be me, but after several hours searching I give up. 

Some of my stacks show counters and some do not. Why not counters for all?

Only the top of the stack (or the master of a version stack) show the rating counter.

Do you use version stacks or regular stacks?
Thumbnail or tabular layout used in the file window?

I checked the code and from what I can tell (except there is a yet undiscovered bug) that as long as a file is stacked, the counter is drawn.
Maybe if you can give us some more details, e.g. a screen shot and a log file (How to report bugs).

That was the problem. Should have noticed that "no count" only happened when the stack icon was blue. Back to your excellent help system to refresh my memory on ordering images in a stack.

To answer your questions - regular stack & thumbnail layout at present.

A simple SHIFT-T does the trick for any "problem" stack. Now to discover a way to do that across the board for all of them at once instead of manually one at a time. It's in help somewhere.

Stack commands, like most commands, work with the current selection. You can apply the command to all files in a folder, a category, a disk, a year in the time line, or even your entire database. Bring the files you want to apply a command to into a file window, select them with <Ctrl>+<A> and run the command...

But <Shift>+<T> (Or <Ctrl>+<CursorUp>) sets the top of a stack. This command works only on the currently focused file, and only if it is part of a stack.
