It is not clear that Pack and go can be run after the pop-up window opens in IMatch (though it is clearly documented).

A change to the wording of this window would make it clearer:

A change to the second line, currently:
"Please close IMatch now. This dialog closes automatically when IMatch has beeen closed"

To:
Please close IMatch now, while leaving this window (window or dialog ?) open. This dialog closes automatically when IMatch has beeen closed"

Or a better, procedure would be to have another button on window labelled "Proceed", this would simply close IMatch and invoike the Pack and Go Process.

Aubrey.

I think the message is clear. Lets see if other users also consider it confusing.
I will not add a button to forcefully shut-down IMatch to this message dialog. That would be really bad behavior.

"IMatch needs to be closed" seems to be pretty obvious. Just click on the "X" button in the IMatch window to close it. Pack & Go recognizes when IMatch is closed and continues automatically.

Like Aubrey I would use the [Cancel] button to close the dialog and then open Pack & Go. I was going to make a feature request but Aubrey beat me to it. There is not the slightest hint in the dialog box that it should remain open while IMatch is closed.

Most of the applications that I use will not close if a dialog is open but the new text should make it obvious that rule does not apply. Thank you.

Mario

This dialog does not come from IMatch, it comes from Pack & Go (see the caption bar of the dialog).

Whether you start Pack & Go from the command line, from the Windows START menu, a shortcut or from within IMatch, it cannot continue while IMatch is running. This is why it tells you to close IMatch. You can either close IMatch and Pack & Go will continue, or you cancel Pack & Go if you don't want to close IMatch now.

The point we were making was that this wasn't obvious.  I.e., when you run a command from inside IMatch, and you see a dialog, it's not intuitively obvious that you've already started a separate application.  After all, the dialog title does say "IMatch .....".

Just a minor point.

I had problems interpreting the dialog box correctly as well.
The way Mario changed the text makes it clear and works for me.
Thanks.

I had not thought of the implications of having to translate the modification into other languages. Perhaps I should not have kept my metaphorical moth shut.  :-[

Every text change requires work from the translators - who thankfully volunteer to translate IMatch into their languages, or do some proof reading on the texts create by me and others. I do only the English and German translations.
