This is just a minor thing. When I run a slide show and I press in between <esc> I am back in file view (as expected) and also back to the first(!) slide of the show. So far so good. But is there a possibility (option?) to leave the show and be back in file view but showing the photo in file view, where I stopped the slide show?

Understand. However, in terms of display quality the slide show tool is at least on my monitor definitely exceeding the viewer. Therefore I very often use slide view to judge the photos.

Show us a screen shot of the Viewer and the Slide Show.
Both use the same technology and there should be no difference - given that the same settings, zoom factors etc. are used. Please also define Quality.

The first picture is a screenshot from the VIEWER in Windows mode and the second one from the SLIDE SHOW, also in Windows mode. Interestingly enough is the resolution and appearance in QUICK VIEW with that in the slide show.

In terms of quality I simply mean sharpness and appearance on my monitor.
