I have added folders to IMatch5 containing Canon .crw files, but the database thumbnail image only shows as a FastStone Image Viewer icon.
I have FastPictureViewer Codec Pack 2.5 installed. If I double click the thumbnail FastStone creates an image OK from the file.
How can I get IMatch to generate thumbnail images from my .crw files for the

Mario

The FPC codec is fairly old. The current version is 3.5 something.

Please do a Help > Support > WIC Diagnostics on one of the problem files and attach the result.
Also attach an application log file from an IMatch session where you added a folder with CRW files.

This will give us some info to work with.

Thanks Mario.

I have now installed the latest FastPictureViewer Codec 3.5.0.80.
The .crw files were taken in 2008 on a Canon A650-IS with CHDK hack installed on the SD card.
FastStonePictureViewer, IrfanView and XnView all can display the .crw file, but there is no thumbnail in IMatch5 for the .crw, but converted DNG and jpg thumbnails display ok.
I have attached a WIC diagnostic, and an application log file from adding the file to IMatch.

The WIC codec you use fails to extract an image from the given file. Neither thumbnail, nor preview nor full-size file can be extracted.

This is why the file does not show up in IMatch. Nothing I can do about this.
Did you reboot after installing the codec?

You can send me this file and I run it here on my system with the FPV codecs I have. If it fails here to, it is a codec issue and you can contact FPV. If it works here, it is something on your computer. At least we'll know more about this. Pretty rare problem, though.

File is 14.9Mb so cannot be attached according to restriction (maximum total size 2048KB).

Mario

Just send it to me (see Contact in my signature below).

Did you reboot? The new codecs can only work after you did reboot your system.
