Hello,
i have a "little" buddy file problem.

My video camera produces *.mts Files. During editing with my video editor there are some WAV-files created which belongs to a mts-file. I think the wav file should be a buddy of the mts. So i desinged a new budy file rule named "Magix Audio Proxy".

The test works fine but after refreshing the relations and the folder the wav-files shows up as new file in the folder view.

MTS-Filename: 00000.MTS
WAV-Filename: 00000_mts_proxy_54cbedc05af9182be3bb76a364564f5b.WAV

See attached Screenshot of the rule.

Where is the Problem?

So, now i bought iMatch :) and am testing with the newest Version.

The problem persist.

Perhaps it is just a problem in my unterstanding.

Are the buddy files ( im my case the .wav) files still visible as normal file in imatch or have they to disapear?
An are only internal linked to the master file?

How can i determine which files are buddy files to my master file?

I think that is normal behavior.

Buddies which are normal IMatch-Files like .jpg e.g. are also include as file in the database.

I made an App which shows the buddies of a selected file.

IMatch adds all supported file formats to the database, unless you explicitly exclude them via Edit > Preferences > File Formats.
If a file is a buddy file or not is not relevant. The only exception are .XMP sidecar files, which are automatically treated as buddy files but will never be added to the database.
