Update between IM5-DBs

Dear Mario,

I tried to 'update' an IM5 catalogue from v102 to v104. I did not find a function similar Lightroom: 'Export to Library' and 'Import from Library'.
So I started completely new with 'Create a new Database', but that takes so long with reading "Reading Metadata", round 60 min for 3.100 files.
I have an i5-430M processor with 8 GB main-memory and it runs under Win7-64 bit.
The tool ProLasso shows me, that all 4 threads are 100% busy and 57% of the main-memory is used.

Is there any other option to get all data & settings transferred from one version to the other?

And can I create sub-databases, e.g. if I will send all my birds to a friend and he will read-in this into his IM5-database, complete with all IM5-data?

Regards
Gerd

Uuups, now IM5 is busy with "Adding and Updating files", proposed time 30 min., but also all 4 threads are 100% busy ... this slow-down my whole PC, so it does not help to run  it in minimized-mode ...

small update ... it looks like, that IM5 needs more than an hour ...

Why do you want to update your database? You can open your database created with an older version of IMatch 5 with the current version. No need to update or re-create anything. Just open it and work with it.

The execution times for 3100 files are way to slow, even if you let IMatch create cache files and all that.
Since you did not attach the application log file from that test I cannot say more, sorry.
