Hi,

my external drive(s) with Images are always mounted into a directory on drive C: In my case C:\DSLR
Now IMatch saves serial number from drive C: If I connect my external drive to second computer are all images offline because drive C: has different serial number.
Under settings/ Database "portability settings" is I think the right point what I have to do, but I can't select drive C: to tell them "switch to another drive C". Is this not possible or what I do wrong?

Drive c usually contains system.
How are you using drive c as an external disk on another computer?

Of course, drive C is different on both computers. But IMatch reads / remembers only the serial number of this drive. Imatch don't know that under C:\DSLR is mounted another drive.

IMatch does not explicitly support mount points. And it should not of course.
The Windows file system presents c:\DSLR to IMatch as a regular folder and delivers the media serial number of C: when IMatch asks for it.
On your other system the media serial number for C: will be different.

If you would plug in your external drive as a normal disk instead of using a mount point, IMatch would get it's real serial number and you would not have this problem.

Solution: Relocate c:\dslr to c:\dslr in the portability options to overcome that.

I will try that. Thank you

Did you read the IMatch help system topic for the Portability feature?
