On a Windows 10 PC, Screen Resolution:  1360x768, Scaling:  125%.  Attached is a screenshot of the Thesaurus Manager dialog not being able to fit within my screen real estate because I can't resize it.  So, what to do?

Mario

This is a normal window. Pres <Alt>+<Space> to open the system menu and then choose the resize option.  Then use <Shift>+Cursor keys etc. to resize.
You can also just grab the top border of the windows and left-click and then move mouse cursor down to shrink the window. Watch the cursor, it changes to a resize arrow when you hit the border.
Then left-click in the caption bar to reposition and maybe repeat the resize.

This is standard Windows functionality. See the Windows help system for details on how to work with Windows.

That's just it!  Yes, when I position the cursor, such that it is on one of four sides - top, bottom, left or right, I do do get the double-sided arrow, which is Windows indicating to me that I can now resize the window, but with that said, I can only drag when on the left or right sides, but if I'm parked on either, the top or bottom, I can't drag to resize!

Mario

How strange.
Just use the system menu then as I've explained. Works without the mouse.
738 pixel is really something from the past. Even the modest minimal hardware requirements of IMatch demand 1600 x 800 pixel resolution.

I tried <Alt>+<Space> to invoke the System Menu with the same result.  So, anything else that can be done?  I'm stuck with a monitor from 2011, that is only 720p.

Mario

What does "same result" mean?
When you use the "Resize" option from the system menu, Windows allows you to resize any window.
If that does not work, something on that box is messed up pretty badly in Windows...

You can try to reset the IMatch workspace and if this does not help reset all settings.

I'll try the reset option, but this is one of the only dialogs that I'm have difficulty resizing vertically.  I can move vertically, but not resize vertically.

Darius1968

Yup.  Tried that reset option, and still, that one dialog just doesn't want to become any smaller in the vertical plane.

Mario

I'm not sure how I can help. This is such a small screen.
Did you followed my advice.
Did you reset the workspace? Reset all settings? If you cannot even fit that small dialog on your screen, try to reduce the Windows screen scaling (use a scaling factor of less than 100% if such a thing is possible).
Why do you want to run IMatch on such a tiny screen?

If all else fails, just delete the central IMatch settings database.
IMatch will then come up with system defaults, and everything should fit on your screen. Although I don't test with monitors so small and so old.
Delete "C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch6\config\imatch.pts"

Quotedialog just doesn't want to become any smaller in the vertical plane.

If Windows does not allow you to resize Windows, there is nothing I can do.
Dialog boxes have a minimum size and if this does not fit on your screen your screen is smaller than the minimum screen size of 1600 x 800 pixels required by the minimal hardware requirements of IMatch.
